When all else fails, turn to backup plan, frozen pizza!
As always, last week didn't go as planned. Wednesday night, as I started to prepare dinner, I pulled out my kitchen aid to start my diy hamburger buns. As I went to push on my paddle attachment, I realized it wouldn't go on. I pushed and pushed and when the sweat started pouring from my forehead and I realized I wasn't going to get it on, I threw in the towel and realized we'd be going with option B for dinner, Mr. DiGiornos. I am not afraid to admit that when stuff hits the fan, and doesn't go according to plan, I go to either a frozen pizza, or Tyson chicken nuggets. Those two items are always in the freezer for those 'just in case' evenings, like Wednesday night. When Brandon arrived home, I had him take a look at it. He too tried with no avail and even broke out the hammer. His failed attempts left him throwing away the attachment and reassuring me that we'd have to invest in another one. Great! I rarely use the other two attachments yet, those are the ones that still hook on completely fine. Well I guess I'll be looking up attachments on amazon and keeping my phalanges crossed that I find an amazing deal!
Here is this week's dinner lineup:
Monday: Speaking of pizza, it looks like tonight's cuisine is pizza. I defrosted a pizza dough thinking I'd use it Saturday when the family came over, however I didn't. Now I need to use it or it'll go to waste. So Pepperoni pizza it is tonight, salad with
CopyCat Olive Garden Dressing (I still have some in a jar I made a week ago, this dressing is DELICIOUS!) and sliced strawberries
Tuesday:
Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glazed Pork Loin, baked potato, (sweet potato for Penelope and I!),
baked zucchini sticks, and sliced kiwi and mango
Wednesday:
Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken with white rice and fruit salad
Thursday: Glazed Pork Chops,
Baked Parmesan Asparagus Fries, fresh fruit
Friday: Bean and Cheese Nachos and cantaloupe
Saturday:Chicken nuggets,
Baked Eggplant Sticks, and fruit salad
Sunday: Vegetable chicken soup
